Am 5. April 2013 spielten The Splendid Ghetto Pipers ein Konzert in einem lokal-kulturell höchst hoch-inhaltlich aufgeladenen Abend im Ikuwo in Greifswald. Die Band leitete mit ihrem Konzert eine Sounds’n’Poetry-Performance von Ronald Lippok, Bert Papenfuss und dem Zonic Zound Zystem ein.

Bevor es im Ikuwo klanglich-soundsystemisch und musikalisch-poetisch wurde, fand einige Stunden zuvor eine Vernissage im Koeppenhaus statt: Dort wurden grafische Arbeiten von Ronald Lippok zu Texten der Greifswalder Barock-Dichterin Sibylla Schwarz (* 14.2.1621 in Greifswald) ausgestellt. Die Grafiken entstanden für eine handgefertigte Textausgabe bei Rothahndruck Berlin. Dr. Michael Gratz gab im Koeppenhaus eine Einführung und Eva-Maria Blumentrath las Texte der jung verstorbenen Lyrikerin.

Am selben Abend agierte Ronald Lippok (To Rococo Rot, Tarwater, Ornament & Verbrechen) im Ikuwo dann auch als Musiker. Dort las Bert Papenfuß, selbst in den 1970er Jahren in Greifswald aufgewachsen, aus eigenen Texten. Gemeinsam mit Ronald Lippok und dem Zonic Zound Zystem (an jenem Abend in der Besetzung Alexander Pehlemann und Bert Greif) wurden sie zu einer Sounds’n’Poetry-Performance verdichtet. Das 20jährige Jubiläum des Magazins, der Plattform und Kulturerscheinung „Zonic“ bildete hierbei – neben Sibylla Schwarz und Bert Papenfuss – die dritte lokal-kulturelle Wurzel jenes Abends.

The Splendid Ghetto Pipers stellten (vierte Wurzel!) den örtlichen Livemusiksupport und knüpften, um den Jahreszahlenwahnsinn komplett zu machen, auch an ein Jubiläum an: In loser Andrahtung an das 100-Jahre-John-Cage-Jahr 2012 spielten sie ein Konzert - unter dem Motto und unter Einbeziehung von Cages Diktum „I Just Want It To Be A Sound“ - ein Set mit Gitarren, Synthesizer, Tapeloops und Effekten.
